<p>The tread pattern of a pneumatic tire has circumferential shallow grooves provided in the regions of two intermediate land sections and extending in the circumferential directions of the tire. The direction of tilt of lug grooves provided in the region of one of the intermediate land sections and tilted in a first direction of the circumferential directions of the tire is the same as the direction of tilt of lug grooves provided in the region of the other intermediate land section and tilted in a second direction of the circumferential directions of the tire, the second direction being opposite the first direction. The lug grooves provided in the regions of the intermediate land sections are bent at the positions where the lug grooves intersect the circumferential shallow grooves, the bending being such that the directions of the lug grooves approach the circumferential directions of the tire. Lug grooves provided in an inner land section extend in the direction tilted relative to the circumferential direction of the tire and oriented in the direction different from the direction in which the lug grooves provided in the regions of the intermediate land sections extend.</p> |
