The present invention relates to a heat insulation apparatus for rolling material, which can prevent damage to a rolling material while reducing the cost of reheating for hot-rolling, by insulating a rough rolling material which has passed through a continuous casting process. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the heat insulation apparatus for rolling material is an apparatus which insulates and stores the rolling material to be provided to a rolling process, the apparatus comprising: a pit which is erected to surround a loading area to which the rolling material is loaded; a pit protection plate which covers the upper surface of pit; a pit cover which is mounted on the upper surface of the pit protection plate to isolate the loading area from the outside; and a buffer interposed between the pit and the pit protection plate to buffer the shock generated when the pit cover is mounted. |
