PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a heating implement capable of making the breadth of a joint portion smaller than that of a conventional one, and capable of making the heating implement generate heat even at a portion near the peripheral edge thereof.SOLUTION: The method for producing a heating implement 100 comprises the steps of: disposing a heat generator 103 generating heat owing to contact with air between a pair of sheet materials 101A, 102A at least one of which has air permeability; forming a joint portion by joining the pair of sheet materials 101A, 102A extending from a peripheral edge 103a of the heat generator 103; cutting the joint portion; and housing the heat generator 103 in a housing body 105 made up of the pair of sheet materials 101A, 102A. Joint and cutting of the pair of sheet materials 101A, 102A are carried out in a single process. The breadth of the joint portion between the pair of sheet materials 101A, 102A after cut is preferably 25 μm or more to 1 mm or less. |
