<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative component for vehicles which can narrow and deepen concave parts of decorative irregularities formed on a surface and realize unprecedented decorative expression due to touch and glossiness based on the decorative irregularities and a method of producing a mold for forming the decorative components for vehicles.SOLUTION: Irregularities with an interval between adjacent grooves, or concave parts, of 500μm or smaller and a depth of the grooves 0.2 time or higher the interval are formed on a formation surface 6a of a mold 6 used in forming a decorative component 1 for vehicles by laser processing using a three-dimentional laser beam machine. By forming a decorative component 1 for vehicles by using the mold 6 equipped with the formation surface 6a formed with such irregularities, decoration with narrower and deeper irregularities can be imparted to the surface 2 of the formed decorative component 1 for vehicles. More specifically, the width of the grooves can be narrower, i.e. 500μm or smaller, and the depth of the grooves can be deeper, i.e. 0.2 time or higher the width, in the decorative irregularities.</p> |
