<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To interrupt current of a square secondary battery without causing decrease in energy efficiency of the battery.SOLUTION: A square secondary battery 1 has a flat electrode group 3, a square battery can 11 for housing the electrode group 3, a battery lid 21 for sealing the opening 11a of the battery can 11, and a positive electrode terminal 51 provided in the battery lid 21 and connected electrically with the electrode group 3. The positive electrode terminal 51 has a shaft 52b inserted into a hole 21a opening in the battery lid 21, an outer hole 52c opening to the battery outside of the shaft 52b, and an inner hole 52d opening to the battery inside of the shaft 52b. A diaphragm 52f is interposed between the outer hole 52c and the inner hole 52d.</p> |
