The present invention relates to cost effective production methods of high efficient silicon based back- contacted solar modules : a three layer structure (3, 4, 5) including an emitter (3) and a surface field doping (5) is epitaxially grown on a donor wafer (1) presenting a porous release layer (2), said growth being followed by the use of plasma texturing and CVD- based deposition of surface passivation films (7, 8) to finish the front side of the solar cells; the semi-finished cells are then laminated onto the front substrate (22) of the solar panel such that a smooth and planar back surface is obtained, and the manufacturing of the solar modules is then finished by forming the back-side surface passivation (11) and electric contacts and cell interconnects (14-16). |
