PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cement admixture in which excellent cement dispersibility is realized, slump loss of cement and a cement composition can be protected, and viscosity of a cement composition can be suppressed to be low; and a cement composition using the same.SOLUTION: A copolymer that includes: a constitutional unit that has an alkenyl group having a specific number of a carbon atom; and an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid ester based constitutional unit that has a specific number of a carbon atom, or a salt (A) thereof is used as an active ingredient for a cement admixture.
