PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio processing unit capable of effectively processing audio signals with the number of amplifiers less than that of channels for multi-channel audio data, and reproducing the processed audio signals.SOLUTION: A DSP 10 for an AV amplifier 5 serving as an audio processing unit generates a surround extended audio signal S2 from a surround audio signal depending on a selected signal. A pre-out part 11 selects any of a surround rear audio signal SB, an outside audio signal FW, or the surround extended audio signal S2, outputs the selected signal to a power amplifier 12, and amplifies the signal. Since the power amplifier 12 is shared between the surround rear audio signal SB, the outside audio signal FW, and the surround extended audio signal S2, the unit number of the power amplifier 12 can be reduced. |
