PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide light-emitting means for emitting light beam for detecting foreign matter, light-receiving means for detecting the light beam emitted from the light- emitting means, and a device for generating a foreign matter detection signal when detection of the light beam by the light-receiving means is discontinued on an elevator car entrance door, and prevent peering in of the light beam when the elevator door is forcibly closed regardless presence or absence of the foreign matter detection signal.SOLUTION: When forcible door closing operation is performed while emitting light beam, foreign matter is detected, the forcible door closing operation is continued but emitting of light beam is stopped. Thereby, peering in of light beam by passenger etc. is prevented when the forcible door closing operation is performed. |
