Disclosed is a false floor element (1) for creating a void (3) above a subfloor (5). At least one outer surface (6) of the false floor element (1) has a coating (9). According to the invention, the coating is a paint coating (9) which is cured or at least sealed by means of electromagnetic waves (11). Also disclosed is a method for applying a coating (9) to at least one outer surface (6) of a false floor element (1). According to the invention, a relative motion (VR) is generated between the at least one outer surface (6) of the false floor element (1) and an application device (15). During the relative motion (VR) a coating agent (17) is delivered by the application device (15) in such a way that at least one layer of the coating agent (17) forms as a paint coating (9) on the at least one outer surface (6) of the false floor element (1). The paint coating (9) is at least sealed on the at least one outer surface (6) of the false floor element (1) by means of electromagnetic waves (11). |
