METHOD FOR PRODUCING MAGNESIUM SULFATE HEPTAHYDRATE AND MAGNESIUM SULFATE MONOHYDRATE USING MAGNESIUM-METHOD DESULPHURIZATION SLURRY

Provided is a method for producing magnesium sulfate heptahydrate and magnesium sulfate monohydrate using magnesium-method desulphurization slurry, which comprises: (a) enabling the magnesium-method desulphurization slurry to undergo aeration oxidation; (b) adding pH regulator into supernatant of oxidized slurry; (c) adding flocculating agent for flocculating and performing precipitation and filtration; (d) evaporating filtered clear liquid to obtain concentrated magnesium sulfate slurry; (e) cooling and crystallizing the concentrated magnesium sulfate slurry to obtain crystal; (f) drying the obtained crystal to obtain magnesium sulfate heptahydrate crystal. Further drying magnesium sulfate heptahydrate obtains magnesium sulfate monohydrate. The method solves a problem of processing magnesium sulfite in magnesium-method desulphurization slurry, and brings additional economic benefits to a magnesium-method desulfurization process for sulfur dioxide emission reduction.
