The steering system (1) has a steering shaft (3) that is rotatably connected to a steering gear. The rotational movement of the steering shaft is converted into displacement movement of a steering rod (5). A decoupling device is arranged in transmission path between steering shaft and steering rod. The decoupling device is provided with an axial decoupling unit for vibration isolation in axial direction, and a circumferential decoupling unit for vibration isolation in circumferential direction.
