PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a subjective geographical range given by an impression of a place name, even without a use of position information attached to an article.SOLUTION: The subjective district estimation device includes: a spot database for storing a spot name and latitude and longitude of the spot with an ID unique to the spot attached thereto; place name input means for accepting an input of a place name; retrieval means for retrieving a document group on the basis of the place name and acquiring a document which includes the place name; spot name extraction means for extracting a spot name from the document and retrieving the spot database on the basis of the spot name to acquire the latitude and longitude corresponding to the spot name; and display means for outputting the acquired latitude and longitude to a display device.
