PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving convenience in a chat application.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a first display control unit for allowing a display unit to display a first screen time-sequentially displaying first messages transmitted and received in a group where a first user using his or her own device and a plurality of second users using other devices are registered; a second display unit for allowing the display unit to display a second screen time-sequentially displaying second messages transmitted and received between the first user and a third user selected from the plurality of second users; and a screen control unit that instructs the display unit to display the second screen in accordance with a predetermined operation in the case that the operation is executed when the first screen is displayed on the display unit and that instructs the display unit to display the first screen containing at least a portion of the first messages that has been displayed when the predetermined operation has been executed in the case that operation for returning to the first screen is executed on the second screen.
