PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visualize a relationship of a component derived from improvement to enable a component to be selected easily.SOLUTION: A component selection device includes an HDD that stores component database in which a component code in accordance with each of a plurality of components and the context of improvement between components are described and an input unit that receives input of the component code showing a component. The component selection device serially reads out components having context of improvement including a component shown by an input component code from the component database to draw a read-out component as a node 32. Simultaneously, the component selection device causes a monitor to display a transition diagram 36 that draws a link 34 coupling nodes 32 showing components before and after improvement to each other.
