<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling object detection system that detects a falling object, when there is an object (a person/an object) falling onto a track from for example, a station platform or the like, and that has high detection accuracy with a small number of detectors.SOLUTION: A plurality of light emitting devices 3 are arranged in multiple rows along a track on a lateral surface of a track side of a platform, and an imaging device 4 such as an ITV camera is set up for photographing a predetermined range including the plurality of light emitting devices 3, at an opposing position interposing the track with respect to the light emitting devices 3. An image plane photographed with the imaging device 4 is image-processed by using image processing means 7 of a detection device 6 to extract an arrangement state of the light emitting devices 3, and to determine that a falling object exists on the track by using falling object determination means 8 from disturbance of the arrangement state of the image-processed light emitting devices 3.</p> |
