TRIGGERING METHOD AND RELATED DEVICE

Disclosed are a triggering method and a related device, which are used for preventing a UE from unnecessarily detecting a PDCCH or an ePDCCH, thereby achieving the purpose of saving the power of the UE. The embodiments of the present invention comprise: determining time-frequency resource configuration information about a physical triggering channel (PTCH); detecting the PTCH on the time-frequency resource occupied by one of the PTCHs indicated by the time-frequency resource configuration information about the PTCH; according to the result of detecting the PTCH, judging whether triggering exists; the triggering being used for indicating that first information needs to be transmitted on a first information subframe or a first information opportunity associated with the PTCH; the first information being one or more of control, downlink data and uplink data, or being one or more of enhanced control, enhanced downlink data and enhanced uplink data; and if it is judged that triggering exists, transmitting the first information on the first information subframe or the first information opportunity associated with the PTCH.
