<p>Disclosed are a data updating method and a web server. The method of the embodiments of the present invention includes: if a web server receives a data update request of a user, determining a maximum clique to which the user belongs, users in the maximum clique mutually being friends two by two; the web server transmitting a data query message to a maximum clique cache server where a cache corresponding to the maximum clique is located; and the web server receiving updated data transmitted from the maximum clique cache server, for realizing data update of the user requesting the data update. Since it is only required to transmit a data query message or perform data transmission once for N friends in the maximum clique to which the user belongs, it can effectively reduce the resources occupied by the web server in the data update or data upload, and effectively save system resources.</p> |
