<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a rust preventive film on bridges which achieves high anticorrosion properties, requires only short-period work due to a reduced number of steps and allows work at narrow sites.SOLUTION: Powder of zinc (Zn) and powder of aluminum oxide (AlO) in a mass ratio of each 50% are mixed together and charged into a material particle feeder 11. Particles of the materials fed into a spray gun 12 and a working gas heated to a required temperature are blown from a fan-shaped spray nozzle 14 onto the surface of a bridge (substrate) 2 at supersonic velocities. Material particles blown onto site joints, e.g. splice plates and joint bolts, vulnerable to progression of corrosion undergo plastic deformation as in a solid phase state and adhere to and are laminated on the surface of existing and new steel-made bridges (substrates) 2 to form a rust preventive film.</p> |
