<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layered sliding member capable of exhibiting more excellent in abrasion resistance and load bearing resistance than a multi-layered sliding member containing lead or lead alloy, and to provide a rack guide in a rack pinion type steering device of automobiles using the same.SOLUTION: A multi-layered sliding member 51 has a back metal 52 containing a steel sheet, a porous metal sintered layer 53 formed on a surface of the back metal 52, and a sliding layer 54 containing a synthetic resin composition filled in pores and coated on a surface of the porous metal sintered layer 53, and the synthetic resin composition contains barium sulfate of 5 to 30 wt.%, magnesium silicate of 1 to 15 wt.%, phosphate of 1 to 25 wt.%, titanium oxide of 0.5 to 3 wt.% and the balance ethylene tetrafluoride resin.</p> |
