PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device for a vehicle for enabling a driver to pass the next intersection without stopping following a traffic light without feeling any danger.SOLUTION: An upper limit speed Vu of a speed range in which a vehicle 12 is able to pass an intersection B without sopping following the light color of a traffic light 20 is calculated by using a traveling simulation model 82s under the consideration of a safety margin on the basis of signal information 70 and a residual distance X to the intersection B. Thus, the light color of the traffic light 20 changes from red to green at a position (X-ΔX) having a margin in front of the intersection B. Therefore, it is possible for a driver to pass the intersection B without stopping with a margin following the traffic light 20 without feeling any danger.
