A control unit (190) specifies the positions of signal frames for decoding units (1401, 1402) to start decoding with the positions being shifted from each other by one signal frame. Each decoding unit (1401, 1402) carries out a parity check of LDPC codes and BCH codes in the respective specified signal frame. Then, the control unit (190) determines that the signal frame specified for a decoding unit with a normal parity check result is a signal frame in which the starting position of data symbols matches the starting position of an LDPC-coded block. In addition, if the parity check results for both of the decoding units (1401, 1402) are not normal due to poor received signal quality, the control unit (190) determines a signal frame that matches the starting position of the LDPC-coded block from likelihood information that is used for LDPC decoding processing. |
