The apparatus has a container (1) which receives the textile products. Several openings (4) are provided in the side wall portion (5) of the container, so that vaporized liquid is penetrated into the container provided with lateral spacers (2,6). A cover (7) is arranged in the container, such that passage of the condensed liquid into the container is covered, when container side wall is in contact with lateral wall of a pressure vessel (10). An independent claim is included for method for inhibiting of odor in textile.
