The present invention relates to an air compressor and, more specifically, to an air compressor which can reduce resistance in the reciprocation of the piston of the compressor inside a cylinder; and which can improve the efficiency of the air compressor. The compressor reduces resistance in the reciprocation of the piston inside the cylinder, significantly improves the efficiency of the air compressor by increasing transferring speed, and enables users to conveniently assemble a cover of the air compressor to an upper lid through a movable fastener as the cover having a larger cross-sectional diameter than that of the cylinder is connected to the outer circumferential wall of the cylinder and the top of the cover is higher than the upper wall of the cylinder to form an amplification type air chamber between the cover and the circumferential wall of the cylinder. |
