摘要 The present invention pertains to the Electronics technical sector, which consists in the development of a Peripheral Device and Hyper-chaotic Method for Encrypting/Decrypting Digital Images based on a microcontroller with RISC architecture (1), which mainly includes a Flash memory (2), a RAM memory (3), an arithmetic and logic unit (4), a LCD screen (5) and a USB communication module (6), this latter element promoting the communication with a personal computer (7), which mainly includes a RAM memory (8), a hard disk (9), a monitor (10), a keyboard (11) and a USB communication module (12), which enables the communication with the peripheral device of the present invention. The microcontroller circuit (1) contains software embedded and stored in the Flash memory (2), the algorithm of the software being described in Figure 2. The inventive device must be connected to a personal computer by the USB port (6). The personal computer (7) has software acting as an assistant for encrypting and decrypting digital images, which may be performed in greys or color in all resolutions and standard formats such as JPG, BMP, PNG and GIF.
