PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container and a straw hole covering device for paper containers which prevent adhesion of any matter to a straw hole during a distribution process or domestic storage, eliminate the possibility of invasion of unintended and unnecessary matter into the paper container and require only a simple and inexpensive device additionally.SOLUTION: A molten lump 9 of a thermoplastic material dropped on the outside outer periphery of a straw hole 8 is pressed and spread on the top surface 2 in such a way that the outer periphery and the concave inside of the straw 8 is covered with a thin layer of the thermoplastic material. On the outside outer periphery on the upstream side of the straw hole formed on the top surface of a paper container 1, the molten lump of the thermoplastic material is dropped by dropping means 10. Immediately after the dropping, the molten lump dropped and adhered is pressed and spread from the upstream side to the downstream side of the molten lump by pressing means. The molten lump dropped in the upstream side extends its area from the upstream side to the downstream side and expands over the outer periphery and the concave inside of the straw hole. |
