The module has a transparent cover layer (1) made of glass or plastic. An underlying layer (2) contains photovoltaic active cells (3) embedded in embedding material (4), and an adhesive free laminating back sheet (5) is provided on a plastic base, where the module is formed free from a frame. The back sheet is provided with an adhesion-promoting layer on upper and lower sides and provided with a fastening element (6) at underside for fastening the module to a sub-structure, where the back sheet is formed as monoextrudate.
