Provided are a thin film type solar cell, a manufacturing method thereof, and a method for manufacturing an optical absorber layer of the thin film type solar cell. According to the present invention, the thin film type solar cell comprises a plurality of layers having different energy band gaps in one optical absorber layer and can absorb sunlight of a rather wider wavelength band. Therefore, the present invention can improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the solar cell. In addition, the present invention can simply and easily form the layers having different energy band gaps in the single optical absorber layer in one device. Therefore, the thin film type solar cell can simplify the process and reduce the manufacturing costs. Furthermore, the present invention can form an intermediate band in the energy band gaps of the optical absorber layer by optimizing the partial pressure conditions of oxygen and nitrogen in the progresses.
