The present invention refers to a sensor for detecting gasified ethanol at concentrations of the order of tens of parts per million (ppm), based on random connections between nano threads of semi conductive oxides. The geometry of this sensor allows the sensitive property of many materials to be tested as well as the respective functionalization; this may avoid the use of lithographic techniques commonly used in the manufacture of nano-thread-based sensors. This sensor may be used for controlling the human consumption of ethanol in vehicle drivers or operators of risky industrial equipment, and in the food industry as well. |
