The present application provides: Lactobacillus gasseri strain CP2305 (FERM BP-11331), Lactobacillus gasseri strain CP2305s (NITE BP-1405), or a variant strain (e.g., a psychrotolerant variant strain) of Lactobacillus gasseri strain CP2305 (FERM BP-11331) or strain CP2305s; a method for producing the variant strain; a stress-induced bowel disorder-relieving agent which is characterized by comprising, as an active ingredient, the variant strain, a treatment product of cells of the variant strain or a mixture thereof; and a food additive, an animal additive, an animal feed and a pharmaceutical composition, each of which contains the relieving agent.
