The invention relates to a flocculant wetting device. The wetting device comprises a flocculant storage (101); a disperser cone (103) configured to disperse flocculant received from the flocculant storage (101 ); a wetting fluid manifold (104) configured to provide wetting fluid to the flocculant; and a wetting hopper (106) configured to mix the flocculant with the wetting fluid to obtain a flocculant solution. The flocculant wetting device further comprises a controller (114) to adjust the flocculant powder mass flow rate by using the wetting fluid mass flow rate so that the ratio of flocculant powder to wetting fluid is substantially equal to the desired concentration of the flocculant solution.
