The method involves arranging a pivot pin blank on inner contour mandrels against rotation relative to the inner contour mandrels. The pivot pin blank is rotated commonly with inner contour mandrels around common axial axles. A contour of the inner contour mandrels is partially cast into an inner contour (4) of a joint outer part (2) using a flow-turn that radially acts from outside to inside. A contour tool is divided into multiple segments and designed as cylindrical hollow bodies, where the segments are radially guided. The pivot pin blank is brought into the joint outer part. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing an axle and a pivot pin of a connection joint.
