The invention refers to an elevator alignment tool (22) comprising a longitudinal frame (26) having rollers (30) being configured to run along the surface of a guide rail (12) of an elevator construction (10), which frame comprises a bias means (32) for biasing the frame against the guide rail and a connecting part (24) configured to be connected to an elevator car or an installation time platform, which tool further comprises a laser (36) mounted to the frame. This alignment tool allows an easy alignment of new guide rails to be installed during elevator installation or an easy verification of the guide rail alignment of a ready built elevator construction. |
