PURPOSE: A cover tape separating device of a tape feeder and a method thereof are provided to prevent a cover tape from jamming or rolling to a first or a second rotary body which discharges the cover tape while being contacted with the cover tape. CONSTITUTION: A cover tape separating device of a tape feeder comprises the following: a first rotary body(30) installed on a frame; a second rotary body(40) rotating while contacting the first rotary body to discharge a cover tape through the interval between to rotary bodies; and an outlet(50) separating the cover tape(3) from the rotary bodies by exhausting air. The outlet is connected to a exhaust unit(21) installed on a cylinder which operates the tape feeder. |
