A TV device and a method for providing a dialog service using the TV device are provided. More specifically, Provided are a TV device and a method for providing the dialog service using the TV device for storing multiple question sentences inputted by a user as the dialog history information of the user; for converting a user voice inputted through a voice input device into a keyword of a text type; for generating multiple candidate sentences indicating the intention of the user based on the dialog history information and the converted keyword; for displaying the converted keyword on a keyword searching area of a display; for displaying the generated candidate sentence on a candidate sentence area of the display; and for generating a searching result corresponding to the selected candidate sentence when one candidate sentence is selected among the displayed candidate sentence through a user interface.
