The method involves transmitting stochastic events via pair of conductors of data cable, and indicating stochastic event by contact-free transmitted single pulse which is positive pulse indicating one stochastic event, or negative pulse indicating another stochastic event. The absence of transmission of stochastic event is indicated by the absence of single pulse. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) apparatus for transmitting digital data of stochastic events in machine tool; and (2) electrical discharge machine.
