PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter so that the relationship between this side and the innermost side, and the right and the left coincides with a sense of a worker, even when operating a handy controller from any side of the cutter. SOLUTION: This cutter includes a cutter body having a cutting bed and a cutting head, a controller fixed to the cutter, and the handy controller having a direction indicting input part. A position of the handy controller to this cutter or the direction of the handy controller is detected, and the setting of the direction indicating input part is switched in response to the detected position or direction. According to this invention, even when operating the handy controller from any side of the cutter, the relationship between this side and the innermost side, and the right and the left coincides with the sense of the worker.
