PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably support a diagnosis by a physician reading X-ray images photographed by plain X-ray photography. SOLUTION: An image generating part 24a generates an X-ray image (A) and an X-ray image (B) having different magnification ratios from X-ray data detected by an X-ray detector 16 in each time of photography carried out two times by controlling by a system control part 21 based on two SIDs (source-image distances) entered through an entry part 22. A correction image generating part 24b generates a correction image (A) and a correction image (B) by correcting in a manner that the magnification ratios of the X-ray image (A) and the X-ray image (B) coincide with each other in a suppressed region based on the distance between the suppressed region and an X-ray detecting surface set through the entry part 22. A difference image generating part 24c generates a difference image based on a difference value calculated from pixel values of corresponding pixels in the correction image (A) and the correction image (B).
