This invention is a hub comprising a locking collar 11 that surrounds each hub connector 12 of a space frame structure. The struts 14 radiating from the hub connector 12 pass through openings in the locking collar 11. The size of the openings 13 in the locking collar 11 relative to the widths of the struts 14 provide a locking action to the struts 14 and limits their movement, which gives support to the shape of the space frame, and allows very simple hubs to be used. The locking collar 11 provides support to beams of wood or other materials that are attached to the struts without placing stress on the hub. |
