To promote turbulent flow at a low flow rate, the blade surfaces of a turbine type meter have different angles of incidence. In one embodiment (Fig. 3) two turbine wheels 8, 9 are mounted on a common shaft 7, and the incidence of the blades on the wheel 8 differs from that of the blades of the wheel 9. In another embodiment (Fig. 4) one turbine wheel is provided, alternate blades have the same incidence, and adjacent blades, such as 11a, 11b have different incidences. In a further embodiment (Fig. 5), all the blades are similar, each one having two portions, 12a, 12b of different incidence.</p> |
