A pulsation-smoothing device for use with reciprocating pumps of the diaphragm or piston type, particularly petrol pumps feeding the carburetter of an I.C. engine, comprises a hermetically-sealed, air-filled sac of material impervious to the material being pumped. The sac comprises a short thin-walled nylon tube A flattened and folded at its ends B, and then clenched by V-section metal closures C, one of which is shown. Instead of nylon material known by the Registered Trade Mark " Terylene " may be used for the tube A. |
