The machine (1) has a spindle brewing unit (3) provided with a brewing device (9) and coupled to a driven shaft (13) of a motor, where a threaded spindle (5) drives the brewing device. A removal device (10) removes the brewing unit from the machine and reinserts the brewing unit in the machine, where a removal direction (E) of the brewing unit extends orthogonal to a rotational axis (7) of the threaded spindle. A mechanical coupling device (11) couples the brewing unit at the driven shaft, where an operation direction (B) of the coupling device extends orthogonal to the rotational axis. The mechanical coupling device is designed as a gear transmission.
