<p>To provide a lithographic printing plate precursor which has good on-press development property and exhibits good ink receptivity and high printing durability and a plate making method using the same. A lithographic printing plate precursor of on-press development type including a support, an image-recording layer containing (A) a radical polymerization initiator, (B) a radical polymerizable compound and (C) a binder polymer having an alkylene oxide group, and an overcoat layer containing (D) a water-soluble hydroxyalkylcellulose, in this order, and the lithographic printing plate precursor of on-press development type is capable of undergoing on-press development processing by exposing imagewise the lithographic printing plate precursor of on-press development type, mounting the exposed lithographic printing plate precursor on a printing machine and supplying printing ink and dampening water, or by mounting the lithographic printing plate precursor on a printing machine, exposing imagewise the lithographic printing plate precursor and supplying printing ink and dampening water.</p> |
