The invention refers to a reciprocating pump for extracting crude oil in wells that may work with crudes with a high content of sand, which is characterized in that it has a cylindrical-shaped plunger housed in an external jacket of the barrel of the pump within a tube for producing crude and which is opened by the upper end portion and which inner wall has a fixed connector element centrally arranged therein, this connector element being connected to the lower end portion of a connector bar that is upwardly extended so as to be connected to the lower end portion of a drawbar; the lower opened end portion of the plunger is connected in a fluid communication to a travel guided valve with a wide flow area, a fixed guided valve being coupled under the travel guided valve; both valves comprise a semisphere with a semicircular lower surface sealed against a seat element for sealing purposes, and vertical guide stems for guiding the vertical ascending and descending displacement of said sea ling semisphere; and an upper sealing assembly arranged inside the production piping, which comprises an outer cylindrical-shaped sealing element that is widened with the exerted pressure when the pump is nested to the seat nipple and brought into contact with the inner wall of the production tube. |
