A mobile terminal and a method for displaying indicator icons therein are provided to offer various information to a user by displaying one among many indicator icons as a background of an indicator region. A mobile terminal comprises a display part(260), an input part(240), and a control part(270). The display part displays a plurality of indicator icons, which indicate various states of the mobile terminal, at an indicator region. The input part is provided to establish a condition to display a specific indicator as a background of the indicator region. In case the present state of the mobile terminal meets the established condition, the control part performs a control operation to display the specific indicator icon as a background of the indicator region. |
