The present invention relates to a method for library access control and seating assignment management. The method for library access control and seat assignment management according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: (a) a step in which a deciphering means read an identification means included in a student ID card; (b) a step in which a user identification module of a server stores the guest data read by the deciphering means in a database; (c) a step in which a seating assignment module of the server displays the locations of available seats on a screen; (d) a step in which the seating assignment module matches the number of the seat selected by a guest to the guest data and store the data in the database when one of the available seats is selected by the guest; and (f) a step in which the seating assignment module of the server changes the assigned seat to an available seat and stores the data in the database when a predetermined period of time elapses after the guest leaves.
