The present invention relates to a method of processing a smart wheel sensor signal using a register which is capable of reducing a cycle time of a wheel sensor installed in a vehicle, preventing wheel information from being lost and omitting the installation of an additional correcting logic for compensating a wheel information loss. A method of processing a smart wheel sensor signal, which outputs mutually different output signals according a rotation direction of a vehicle wheel and distance variation between a hall sensor and a tone wheel, includes the steps of receiving a pulse output from the smart wheel sensor; blocking an occurrence of an interrupt at a rising edge time point of the pulse; causing an input capture interrupt at a falling edge occurring time point of the pulse; reading out a first time value corresponding to the rising edge occurring time point and a second time value corresponding to the falling edge occurring time point based on an input capture interrupt from a register; and decoding an output signal of the smart wheel sensor based on the first and second time values read out from the register. |
