The present invention relates to a method for controlling a backhoe loader having a backhoe working device and a loader working device comprising the steps of sensing a working load of the working device; determining whether or not the working load exceeds a previously set value; and limiting driving speed when the working load exceeds the previously set value. The method for controlling the backhoe loader according to the present invention senses the working load of the backhoe working device and the loader working device and limits driving speed when the working load exceeds the previously set value, thereby sharply reducing the risk of accidents by the working device and achieving safe operation.
