The static mixer (6) has vanes (9,9') that are manufactured from a shape memory alloy such that the vanes have a low-temperature form under a predetermined temperature limit. The vanes have a high-temperature form above the temperature limit. The vanes are extended from the low-temperature form by a reduced flow resistance of the mixer.
