A method for interpolating color is disclosed. The method for interpolating color comprises the steps of: interpolating a first pixel value by using pixel values of neighboring pixels of a first pixel; and omitting interpolation for a second pixel. The method and an apparatus for interpolating color according to an embodiment of the present invention can reduce complexity of a de-mosaic algorithm calculation and hardware resources for executing the de-mosaic algorithm by proposing the de-mosaic algorithm.
